Prof. MAHESH SHUKLA, President

Dr.Mahesh Shukla, M.A. Ph.D in Sociology was born on 02 Oct.1960 at Rewa, M.P. He is an eminent as well as a academician and reputed teacher of Sociology. His academic inclination has made him a globetrotting figure. Dr. Shukla had attended international Sociological conferences and academic activities at Spain, Germany, Australia, Singapore, and Nepal.

Dr. Shukla, a very popular teacher, has contributed more than 60 Research Papers both in National and international Journals. He has published 04 books and has completed many research projects on Tribes, The problems of Drug Addiction among Youth, Suicidal problem and Evolution of journalism in Vindhya region.

Presently Dr. Shukla is engaged in editing two Research Journals “Samaj Vaizyaniki” and ‘Fusion’. He has delivered lectures in many National & International seminar . More than 30 research Scholars have been awarded Ph.D. degree under his supervision. He has awarded L.P.Vidyarthi Memorial Award by Indian Social Science Association and Bharat Shiksha Ratna Award by Global Society, New Delhi. He is performing many Social activities along with his teaching. He writes poetry and articles in various News papers and Magazines.

Prof. YASHPAL VYAS, Vice-President

Prof. Yashpal Vyas is working as Head, Department of Sociology in Indore Christian College, Indore. In his opinion teaching Sociology is always a challenging and interesting task, every time it gives you a better understanding of society. At undergraduate level, boring text without graphs and photographs, and passive classrooms are challenges for a teacher to make it easier, interesting and more popular.

Prof. Vyas taught Sociology as a visiting faculty in various disciplines. He organized many National level conferences and seminars on different issues. He also organized international conference in Indore Christian College, Indore in 2011. He has prepared TV programme for UGC country wide classroom and wrote a book Sankshipt Samajshastra in Hindi for State Civil Services aspirants.

Dr. VIJAY K.GAMBHIR, Vice-President

Dr. Vijay K.Gambhir is a Science Graduate with Diploma in Civil Engineering. Dr.Gambhir is a gold medalist in Social Science Faculty from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He did his Ph.D. on ‘Crime Against Women’. He is working as Prof. of Sociology at Dr. Bhagwat Sahai Govt. College, Gwalior, and keenly interested in sociological research. He has 19 years UG & PG teaching and 15 years research experience in Higher Education. Dr.Gambhir has participated and presented papers in many National & International seminars & conferences. He is actively associated with many National and International Associations & Institutions (YHAI, FPAI, ABGP, RED CROSS, etc) working in the field of socital issues.

Dr. DHRUV KUMAR DIXIT, Secretary

Dr. Dhruv Kumar Dixit born in Jabalpur on 01.01.1964 After graduating in science acquired his PG, M.Phil and Doctoral degree in Sociology from Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur (M.P.)While teaching sociology he had visited many tribal zones in M.P. for doing project work. He has organized many national seminar and academic activities. Dr. Dixit has undertaken extensive studies of social thought, social problems, social work and medical sociology. He has written a monograph of the ‘Primitive Tribe Bhariya’ He has written several text and reference book on Sociology. Nine student got Ph.D. degree & eight are working in his guidance. Dr. Dixit has delivered lecture in several academic occasion and National conferences and guest faculty Central Jail, Jabalpur, IGNOU Jabalpur, Govt. Medical College, Jabalpur, Social Work Department, RDVV, Jabalpur.

Prof. NEELAM HINGORANI, Joint Secretary

Prof. Neelam Hingorani retired as a Professor of Sociology from government P. G. College, Indore. She taught Sociology for more than 40 years and worked on many different positions in Devi Ahilya University, Indore. She has a keen interest in social research more than 15 candidates have awarded Ph. D. under her supervision. She has attended many seminars and workshops on national level and chaired sessions in conferences. Nearly forty research papers published in research journals. She also worked as a Captain in NCC.

Dr. G.N.MISHRA, Treasurer

Dr. Gajanan Mishra, M.A.Ph.D was born in 1961. He is working as Asst. Prof. of Sociology at Mahatma Gandhi College, Kareli, Madhya Pradesh. He is good academician. More than 24 research papers and 02 books have been published in his name. Two candidates have awarded Ph. D. under his supervision. He has actively participated in National and International conferences and seminars. Presently he is holding the position of Lieutenant in N.C.C. Battalion J.B.P.

Dr. VINOD KUMAR RASTOGI, Executive Member

Dr.Vinod Rastogi born on 22 Jan. 1966 at Dehri On Sone Distt. Rohtas, Bihar. He has got his secondary and higher education from Central Hindu School & B.H.U., Varanasi. At present he is working as professor (Sociology) with higher Education Department and presently posted at Govt. Vivekanand P.G. College, Maihar Dist. Satna. He has completed many minor and major research projects by UGC & other agencies. Dr. Rastogi is eminent research scholar and organized research for leading NGOs like PRYA New Delhi, Samarthan Bhopal and Manushi. He has written several research papers. He has participated as resource person and delivered lecture in several academic occasion and National conferences.

Dr. S.C.RAI, Executive Member

Dr.S.C. Rai born on April 3rd 1965 at Sherpur Khurd Dist. Gazipur,U.P. He had his primary & secondary education at Bareli and higher education from B.H.U., Varanasi. He is working in higher Education Department and presently posted at Govt. Degree College, Nagod Dist. Satna.He has organized many National level seminars and academic activities. He has completed to many research project by UGC & other agencies. Dr. S.C.Rai is an eminent research scholar. He is recipient of the First Young Sociological Award by M.P.Sociological council. Dr. Rai has participated and presented their research paper in more than 50 National & International seminar & conferences.
